European Solar Observatory Sunspot Databases and Solar Physics

SDO | Solar Dynamics Observatory
satellite-based sunspot data production

Welcome to the homepage of the Heliophysical Observatory, Debrecen

The observatory is part of the Institute of Earth Physics and Space Science. The observatory conducts scientific research in the fields of solar activity, heliospheric processes and solar-terrestrial connections. The main products of the observatory are the most detailed existing sunspot databases. These are produced from ground-based observations and from space-borne observations taken by the SOHO/MDI and SDO/HMI instruments.
